I remember reality

What is reality? The truth of what is happening, right now. What is the truth in this present? What is being presented to you. How do we know what's real and what isn't? We have to be able to see things as they are, as they are, as they are in front of us. Without preconceived notions, without judgments, biases, opinions. To see things as they are unfolding before us. It requires mindfulness, patience, and the ability to put all thoughts of "what should be" to the side.

Remembering reality is vital to remembering life.

Remembering reality is having the ability to face pain head-on. It's the ability to put away all other delusions and distractions and step into the shadowed space of what is. It's so easy to get caught up in thoughts that spin us out of control, that give us the illusion that we have control, that give us satisfaction with hallucinations that we create.

But to remember reality, is to remember what stands before us, at our feet, in our hands. It is to remember the blood flowing through our veins in that very moment. It is to remember our feet planted in the ground, our skin being pricked by cold wind, our heart beating to the rhythm of the universe. Reality is paying homage to creation as it flourishes in front of us. Reality is the anchor to stillness, communication to the gods, connection to all.

Remembering reality is remembering all the lessons that have been learned through struggle. It is the force that pushes us to make better decisions, to be more aware, to be in greater touch with our inner peace.

Tloo-quah-nah. We remember reality. I remember reality.

To suffer is to grow. Suffering is inevitable. Would you rather have an unfulfilled life of pleasures, or a life of satisfaction, gained through feeling and understanding the depth of pain? To feel pain is to feel true pleasure. There are dark and light sides to everything. This human experience asks us to live fully as we are- to feel all that we must in order to grow, to step out of disillusionment, to embrace all that it has to offer. Turning the mirror away takes away our existence. What are we for, then?
