something about you...

Updated: Feb 24, 2024

"I tried my best to feed her appetite, Keep her coming every night, So hard to keep her satisfied. Kept playing love like it was just a game, Pretending to feel the same, Then turn around and leave again..."

There is an energy that emits from you that scares me. What is it? Where are you from? From which fabric, which cloth, were you made and cut? There is a deeply troubling silence that echoes from you, in which darkness have you been hiding in? Or is it just my imagination that's filling in the gaps? The walls you build are high, impenetrable, it's like you hide something. Why hide anything?

Behind you is nothing but the ocean, nothing but the sea. Nothing but wind howling in the hallways and corridors.

There is a power in you that overwhelms me, brings my body back to a state of paralysis. What do you want from me? Do you know how many caverns, how many mountain peaks, how many fast-flowing river currents I've existed in? Do you know how much power I have? Do you know how much I can withstand and how much I won't?

I can weave webs of magic, fairy tales out of blood and dirt, dreams and nightmares from stardust. I can love with the intensity of an ocean tempest, or softly like a calm breeze. I have troves of gold hidden inside me; are you in search of it? Is that what you want?

If you want me, come and claim me.

It's not that easy; know that I will guard my entrances, I will protect myself, I will close myself to you.

There is something intense in you, an aura that pulls at me... a remnant of something from my past, a memory energy; were you sent from the universe or is it all chance?

I learned from my mistakes,

That I would never put myself in that space again.

You will have to reform,

Evolve enough,

To get inside me.

"I'll fix these broken things, Repair your broken wings, And make sure everything is all right. My pressure on your hips, Sinking my fingertips, Into every inch of you, 'Cause I know that's what you want me to do."
